Description
GridVis software in the Expert edition features high-performance alarm management, also referred to as an intelligent alarm management system. The function Alarm Management provides you with support for the following tasks:
systematic alarm management in the area of Power and Voltage Quality Monitoring.
Individually set alarm plans and alarm sources monitor states for deviations or malfunctions.
Monitoring of all UMG measuring devices measurement parameters.
Fast and reliable signaling of malfunction states (e.g. interrupted communication connections between the measuring devices and the measurement data servers, exceeded parameter levels, etc.).
An alarm is defined as an event that requires an immediate reaction from the responsible power manger or operations manager.
In the event of an alarm, messages are automatically sent to a number of recipients via various channels. By making use of different options, you can adjust the alarm management to suit your needs.
Software requirements for alarm management
GridVis Expert edition with a GridVis desktop installation.
In the Service of your GridVis edition, configure a valid email account to receive alarm messages via email. Please note that you will need the access data for your email server. You may have to request the correct access data from your network administrator.
Features
Fast notification in the event of deviating measurements or incidents.
Individual settings for the measurement states that are to be monitored (e.g. measurement values that are too high or too low, connection errors)
Escalation management with an acknowledgment function. In escalation management, you can configure the escalation levels by confirming with the acknowledgment function. Non-acknowledged alarm notifications trigger the next level in the alarm chain.
Logbook function, alarm lists with open and acknowledged alarms.
Monitoring of historical and current values.
Check of device reachability and device synchronization.
