Add devices
Search for devices on the network
Click the button Add devices > Search for devices on the network.
In the IP range mask field, enter the IP range to be scanned. You can combine an IPv4 address with a CIDR notation/subnet mask or omit address components.
Select the Search speed. This indicates how many search queries are sent per second.
Specify the Timeout per IP. This specifies how many milliseconds the system waits before scanning the next IP.
Then click the Search button.
Click on the device and then on Connection test to test the connection to the device.
Optionally, you can use the Hardware details tab to specify the device name and add a description.
Finally, click the Add devices button.
Your devices have been successfully added and can be managed in the device management.
Add devices manually
Click the button Add devices > Add devices manually.
Open the device series and then select the device type you want to add.
Select the connection type for your device. This depends on the device and its installation method. You can find the connection type of your device in the user manual of the device.
Enter the connection settings needed for the selected connection type.
Test the connection by clicking on the Connection test button.
Optionally, you can use the Hardware details tab to specify the device name and add a description.
Finally, click the Add devices button.
If you want to add several devices of one device type, you can duplicate it. Move the mouse over the device, click on the duplicate symbol (
) and select how many duplicates you want to create. Please note that the duplicated devices all have the same device address and this must then be adjusted.
Note
You can also create a device without a connection. This means it then serves as a placeholder, for example, to reserve items of your license.
