,
there
are
two
authentication
methods
available
for
this
purpose
.
If
necessary
,
ask
your
network
administrator
which
authentication
method
is
right
for
you
.
Default (SMTP server)
Activate the e-mail server.
Select Default as the authentication method.
Enter your SMTP server. If necessary, ask your network administrator for the server access data. You can specify the SMTP server either as a server address or as an IP address.
Select the encryption for the SMTP server under Security.
The port is set automatically depending on the encryption. Check the set port and adjust it to the configuration of your SMTP server if necessary.
Enter the username and password for your e-mail account.
Enter the e-mail address that should be displayed to the recipients as the sender.
Test the settings using the Test mail server connection button.
Save the configuration.
Microsoft 365 (authentication via OAuth 2.0)
Activate the e-mail server.
Select Microsoft 365 as the authentication method.
Enter your tenant ID, client ID, and client secret. If necessary, ask your network administrator for the access data.
Enter the e-mail address that should be displayed to the recipients as the sender.
Save the configuration. It is recommended that you then test the e-mail server by sending a test e-mail.
Send test e-mail
You can test the e-mail server by sending a test e-mail to a test recipient. To do this, proceed as follows:
Click on the Send test e-mail button.
Enter the rest recipient.
Click on Send e-mail.
Status email
You have the option of receiving a regular status email. Proceed as follows to receive a regular status email:
Activate the option Send status email.
Select the recipients of the status email. Please note that recipients can only be users who are stored in the User management of GridVis.
Enter the time at which the status email should be sent.
Select the days on which the status email should be sent.
Finally, click the Save button.
Email logs
Use the slider to select whether a debug email log should be created. A debug email log is a log file that contains information about the process of sending or receiving emails. A debug email log is normally used by developers or system administrators to diagnose and resolve problems with sending or receiving emails. Click the Show email log button and then the Download log file button to download your email log as a .txt file.
