Description

The device list in the overview window shows the user information and configurations for all measurement devices used in a project.

The Overview window

of all devices in a project (device list) can be opened by double clicking on the By device type directory.
of a certain device type can be opened by clicking on the respective device type in the By device type directory. This displays information on the respective device type (e.g. UMG 512).

Note

Right-click on entries in the project window to open a context menu with further functions for the respective entry.

You can use user-defined directories and subdirectories in the Devices entry:

Open the context menu by right-clicking on the Devices entry and select the Create customized tree option.
Name the directory and confirm the name with OK.
The new directory appears below By Type.

- You can use the context menu of a directory to create a new subdirectory, change the order and rename or delete the directory.
- You can add devices that have already been created to a user-defined directory or subdirectory using drag and drop or copy and paste. The devices are added as a shortcut and remain in the By Type directory.
- You can delete the shortcut via the context menu.

Item	Description
1	Display all measurement devices integrated in the project.
2	Search and filter by the Name (designation) of the device. Device display Number of selected devices/Number of devices present in the project.
3	Opens the New File wizard that helps you to create/add new devices.
4	Opens the Communication check window for the selected devices (multiple selection possible). For the selected devices the symbols mean: ... Connection OK. ... No connection.
5	Reads out the device memory. A progress bar (display in %) in the status bar of the GridVis software interface is shown for this action.
6	Configuration of automatic meter reading. Opens the Configure automatic readout window with the times to be selected. Standard times: Monthly and Daily. Further times for automatic readout can be configured with the function Scheduling > Time instants (activation of the tag Auto Download ). Multiple selection of measurement Auto Download is possible.
7	Button appears only when a single meter is selected. Opens the Connection settings window of your measurement device.
8	Button appears only when a single meter is selected. Opens the Configuration window of your measurement device.
9	Opens the Export Device List dialog window for saving the file (as an xls file) with a selection of the path of the output file and the file action.
10	Opens the Export Device List dialog window for saving the file (as a pdf file) with a selection of the path of the output file and the file action.
Item	Description A table entry can be positioned anywhere in the table header by clicking the table entry and dragging while holding down the mouse button.
11	For actions with the buttons in the toolbar of the overview window, select at least one checkbox. A checked checkbox in the table header, activates all devices in the project. in a table row, activates the corresponding device. The buttons Connection settings and Configuration in the toolbar only appear when a single meter is selected.
12	The result of the last device communication: ... Status OK. ... Status Fault - Check the connection settings to your device.
13	Designation of the measurement device. Use the Configuration button (toolbar) to configure Namen (Identity button).
14	Serial number of the measurement device.
15	Measurement device type (e.g. UMG 512) or function type (e.g. KPI).
16	IP address or hostname of the measurement device.
17	Modbus device address (master/slave architecture) of the measurement device.
18	Date/time of the last meter readout (database entry).
19	Shows activated or deactivated measurement devices. To activate/deactivate measurement devices: Open the context menu with a right mouse click on the corresponding device. Click the menu item Activate device/Deactivate device.

20	Opens a flyout menu with all activated or deactivated table entries. To show or hide table entries, simply activate or deactivate the respective checkbox.
21	Show all - shows all table entries in the table header (all checkboxes in the context menu activated). Hide all - does not show any table entries in the table header (all checkboxes in the context menu deactivated).
22	Description of the measurement device. Use the Configuration button (toolbar) to configure the Description (Identity button).
23	Date and time of the next meter reading.
24	Icon of the measurement device type or of the function type.
25	Protocol of the measurement device.
26	Firmware version of the measurement device.
27	MAC address of the measurement device.
28	Schedule configured for the measurement device.
29	Name of the assigned service (server).
30	Internal GridVis ID for the measurement device.
