Measurement group mode
What do I need a measurement group mode for?
The measurement group mode defines whether the current measuring channels are being used for a single current measurement or a measurement in a three-phase system (L1-L2-L3).
How do I set the measurement group mode?
Select a measurement group (1).
The configuration window of the selected measurement group (2) opens.
In the configuration window you can name the measurement group individually or set the measurement group mode.
The following measurement group modes are available for selection:
Single measurements
Three-phase system
Note
The measurement group modes have an influence on the further setting options of the individual current and multifunction channels.
Further settings for the current channels can be found in the Measurement chapter under Current transformer .
When do I use the "Single measurements" mode?
Single measurements
In the "Single measurements" measurement group mode, you configure all current measurement channels to measure the current of individual, independent phases. No sum values are formed from the values of individual measurements within a measurement group. Without a voltage reference, no power or energy values can be calculated.
Exception
In this mode, in addition to current measurement, multifunction channels have the option for Residual Current or Temperature measurement .
When do I use the "three-phase system" mode?
Three-phase system
In the "Three-phase system" measurement group mode, configure the first three channels in each group for a three-phase measurement (L1-L2-L3 summation current measurement). The voltage reference is preset in this mode.
Exception
The 4th channel is still available for a Single measurement. Multifunction channel 4 still has the additional setting options of a single measurement. Furthermore, it should be noted that no power or energy values are calculated without a voltage reference.
